Let me tell you what you typically see happen.

You decide you want to improve how you look. You hear that fat loss or weight loss is the way to go. So you look up ways to lose weight, and the typical advice is to move more and eat less.

You find a diet that helps with fat loss like keto, low carb, intermittent fasting, or just a low calorie diet and then you combine this with cardio and a lot of it.

Everything you do revolves around seeing that scale weight go down.

You lose weight but it sucks and the worst part is that you are not happy with how you look. It took a lot of restriction for you to lose it.

At this point you’re sick of the way you are eating and the amount of cardio you are doing so you stop.

Anytime you went off the plan at all food just seemed to “stick” to you.

Next thing you know you gain all of the weight back PLUS more.

How frustrating.

You worked hard, but you had nothing to show for it, and in a lot of cases you look WORSE.

The problem is that you went at it the wrong way. Low protein, no lifting weights, too much cardio, too much restriction. You lost muscle nor did you have much muscle to begin with.

F.A.Q.

Q: What kind of exercise equipment will I need to start?

A: Full gym access is optimal. However we can make at-home set-ups, or bodyweight routines work. We will make anything work.

Q: How long will the workouts take?

A: You will have your choice of training 3 days, 4 days, or 5 days per week. The workouts take about 45-75 minutes to complete

Q: Will I have to do any cardio?

A: We will aim for a step goal, no formal cardio will be given. A lot of programs focus on cardio that is very fatiguing to the body and there is not enough focus on increasing your overall daily activity. A Fitbit, iWatch, your iPhone or anything that measures your steps are all acceptable. 

Q: Are there any foods I have to eat? Or foods I cannot eat?

A: Nope. There are literally zero foods on our “do not eat” list. Diets should be enjoyable and there should be no “do not eat foods.” We will show you how to eat the foods you love and still make progress.

Q: Can I still drink alcohol?

A: Yes. BUT Alcohol is something that will slow down any progress you will be making. Alcohol is not advised, however, everything in moderation (think 1-2 times per week). Overconsumption will be shooting yourself in the foot and making it tougher to reach your goals.

Q: How will I track my macros?

A: You will track them through MyFitnessPal, which can connect to TrueCoach. You will be assigned macros based on your height, weight, and estimated body fat. 

Q: Do I get a meal plan? 

A: No, you will be given lists of foods to eat and macros, but in my experience giving clients meal plans does not teach them anything. It just shows they know how to follow directions. Part of this program will be teaching you how to eat for your goal. 

Q: Will I lose weight?

A: Maybe, but the goal of this program is not weight loss. A lot of clients do improve their habits and they see weight loss as a side effect. But the goal of this program is to boost your metabolism by building muscle. 

Q: Where do I find my workouts? 

A: Your workouts will be delivered through Truecoach, an online training platform I use with online clients.

Q: Can I sign up at anytime?

A: Yes, but there will only be 2 cohorts per year. And everyone starts at the same time, if you are ready to get started then 1:1 online coaching is for you. Find out more HERE.

Q: What is the difference between group coaching and 1:1 coaching?

A: 1:1 coaching can be started at anytime and there is much more personalization with 1:1 coaching. With group coaching you will be doing the 12 weeks with other people, there will be no personal check ins, all questions will be answered in the private FB group. Group coaching can be a great way to transition into 1:1 online coaching, but some people like the personal aspect of 1:1 coaching, and again there is much more personalization with 1:1.
